The Foster's own all the acres of wood around them.

The Tucks are introduced in this chapter. Mae Tuck did

Now Winnie is talking to the toad about if she should or shouldn't run

The man in the yellow suit talks to Winnie until Granny comes out and

Winnie decides if she runs away she will run into the forest. There she

The Tucks took Winnie and brought her away on a horse. They stopped

The Tucks are done telling their story and they assume Winnie is the

Winnie, Mae, Miles, and Jesse finally make it back to the Tucks home.

Winnie is comparing her family to the Tucks. She is told about Jesse

Winnie couldn't sleep and then Miles took her fishing.

The Tucks are having a normal breakfast with Winnie, until The Man in
the Yellow Suit showed up and new who the Tucks were.

The Man in the Yellow Suit had just come in. He explains how he got
the Fosters woods in trade for Winnie being safe. He said his
Grandmother told him stories about a family that can live forever and
he believed her. He followed the Tucks home and found out about the

Chapter 20
Everyone is awestruck that Mae clubbed The Man in the Yellow Suit.

Winnie and her family are waiting anxiously for the news. The constable

Winnie goes to the fence. While out there, Jesse appears out of
nowhere and describes a plan for Mae to escape. Winnie tells him she
wants to help. She must wait for midnight.

The day seems to go on forever while Winnie waits for midnight.

Winnie left the house to go to break Mae out. Miles took off the

Epilogue
Tuck and Mae return to Treegap in 1950. They see the spot of the cottage and wood, but they aren't there. Then Tuck goes to the cemetery and finds a grave that says
